Lagos — One of the world's most distinctive brands in luxury hospitality business, Fairmont Hotels and Resorts, has indicated interest in extending its chain of iconic resorts in Abuja the capital city of Nigeria.
The proposed 270 room hotel which will be located at the central business district of Abuja is only 30km from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport and enjoys a close proximity to the new International Conference Centre due for opening in 2018.
According to reports, Fairmont Abuja is set to provide easy access to the diplomatic and government quarters, including the Presidential Complex, National Assembly and the Supreme Court.
Some of the exquisite facilities Fairmont Abuja promises its guests include 270 guestrooms and suites, Fairmont Gold - the brand's signature 'hotel within a hotel' concept - and approximately 50 branded residences. It will also boast of more than 2,400 square meters (25,800 square feet) of meeting and event space, including a state-of-the-art ballroom, ideal for regional and international corporate travels and groups.
