Kaduna — The Managing Director, Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC), Mr Adeseyi Sijuwade, yesterday, alleged that certain individuals and organisations are working for the downfall of the corporation.

He made the remarks at a one-day workshop on security consciousness and awareness, organised for railway workers and users for North-west Zone in Kaduna, by the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF) in collaboration with Office of the National Security Adviser and Department of State Services.

Sijuwade, who was represented by the Railway District Manager (RDM), North, Mr Akinwale Akintola, said: "Some of these organisations are doing everything to see that we do not succeed, this is because when the trains were not moving nobody cares and now that they started moving some organisations say let us do what we can to bring them down.

"These are not patriotic Nigerians, they will surely not succeed because of this type of workshop. Apart from that, we are working with a number of consultants that are readily available to protect the company.
