Elegushi Beach is a hot, sandy, beautiful oasis located at Ikate Elegbushi bus stop, a 2km drive from the Lekki toll off Lekki/ Epe Express way. Though it is not the cleanest of beaches, it remains one of the most patronized beaches in Lagos. Elegushi is a private beach and offers a mix of music, food and beautiful scenery of the water. There are different make shift clubs which serves a different purpose during the day scattered along the beach. It offers exquisite restaurants, night clubs, and hangout spots that feature local food, variety of live shows including music and jamborees all week. It also hosts Copa Lagos – a world famous beach soccer tournament that features best teams from all continents.
There’s a one thousand Naira gate fee per person and two hundred Naira parking fee per car. You can go to Elegushi with your food and drinks if you don't want to buy from the shops on the beach.
To stay safe, swimming is highly discouraged because of the strong current. However, you can still have maximum fun without swimming.
