Abeokuta is the capital of ogun state, Nigeria. Its a very peaceful town and the people of the abeokuta are very lovely people. i served there for ayear and except there is no really lovely club to hangout, it was fun all through. Olumo rock is a nice place to hangout and hear more about the history of abeokuta and Nigeria at large, from the top of the mountain, one can see almost the whole city, the rock has a section where sacrifices are made/brought to for worshipping, and history has it that no one has ever fallen from the rock. I find that quite interesting. Oyan dam is also a nice place to visit, and see how electricity is being generated. The obasanjo library is perhaps the most luxurious tourist attraction in the city,it has a resort in it and the library is quite equipped and high standard.
