Hajj airlift begins August 18 – National Hajj Commission of Nigeria

This announcement was made by the NAHCON chairman, Barrister Abdullahi Mukhtar in Abuja over the weekend after inaugurating the medical team for the exercise.

Represented by the commissioner in charge of strategy Alhaji Saleh Okenwa, Mukhtar said the commission was fully prepared for this year’s hajj as all necessary arrangements had been put in place for its commencement and success.

He said the commission had provided adequate medical facilities for Nigerian pilgrims in Saudi Arabia. He urged the team to discharge their duties as expected.

He promised that this year’s exercise would be different from previous ones because of the level of the commission’s preparedness.

Similarly, the head of the medical team, Dr Ibrahim Kana, commended the commission for the medical arrangements put in place for this year’s exercise, saying he has no doubt that this year’s exercise would be successful.
